Lakes Region Mental Health Center (LRMHC), is a private, non-profit organization designated by the State of New Hampshire as the community mental health center serving Belknap and southern Grafton Counties in New Hampshire.
Founded in 1966, LRMHC provides comprehensive, integrated mental health treatment for people living with – and recovering from – mental illness and/or emotional distress. In Fiscal Year 2023, LRMHC’s employees served over 2,830 children, adults, older adults and families and provided $213,783 in charity care.
Core programs include: counseling & mental health services for children and adults, psychiatric emergency services, addiction treatment and recovery, residential and employment programs for adults, Older Adult and Neurocognitive Program and community wellness education. Evidence-based models of treatment guide all of our work, and we are committed to our mission of providing quality, accessible and integrated behavioral and physical health care services. Recovery is possible.
We work in partnership with other healthcare providers, hospitals, law enforcement, corrections, courts, school districts, social workers and public health officials. We provide a continuum of care for our patients and improve the quality of life in the Lakes Region.

Copays & Insurances
Copays are expected at time of service. LRMHC accepts most major medical insurances, Medicaid, Medicare and offers a sliding fee scale for patients who meet financial guidelines. We also offer assistance regarding application of benefits.
