Chris Grasso

Peer Support Facilitator

Chris Grasso came to LRMHC as a Peer Support Specialist embedded with the Emergency Department in 2020. Prior to that Chris was in a managerial role in sales for approximately 20 years. Chris is open about the reason for his career change to mental health- to share his personal experience from a mental health crisis that resulted in psychiatric hospitalization. Chris’ positive and negative experiences within the mental health system led to his desire and determination to help others. His passion for the work resulted in Chris quickly becoming the Peer Support Facilitator, providing supervision for others.

When not supervising or supporting the agencies Mobile Crisis Team, Chris is involved with other state-wide initiatives involving mental health and peer support. Chris has participated in multiple ECHO presentations. Chris is currently part of a committee creating a new curriculum for peer support training through NH education. He has also sat on many panels across the state promoting the peer support model.

Chris was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He and his wife moved to NH in 2017 and now live in Meredith, NH. They made the decision to move here after visiting for years, admiring the beauty of the state, and enjoying NH’s sense of community strength. Chris is an animal lover to his core, as a dog dad to four rescue pups and one cat with special needs. When not working or snuggling his animals he is an avid camper and fisherman. In 2023, he did his first solo multiday camping trip, which he hopes will become his annual “retreat”.
