Alison O’Neill
Director of neurological treatment and service access
Alison O’Neill, MS, LCMHC, is currently the Director of Neurological Treatment and Service Access. Alison joined Lakes Region Mental Health Center (LRMHC) in 2015, prior to joining LRMHC Alison worked at another Community Mental Health Center where she completed her master’s level internship and worked for five years in their Child and Family program where she was able to provide therapy in schools, the community, and the office. Alison also has a previous experience of working in a small group practice and her own, private practice where she provided therapy for children, adolescents and adults.
Alison found her passion for working with individuals with co-occurring developmental disabilities and mental health illnesses from her time working at the Institute of Disability, at UNH, prior to going back to college. She also has the lived experienced of having a family member with Alzheimer’s, which combined with her professional experience helped guide her passion for helping others, which inspired the facilitation for the Older Adult and Neurocognitive Team. Alison is proud of this team and the patients it serves.
Alison’s educational background consists of attending Springfield College of Human Services, both for her undergraduate and graduate careers. Alison graduated with her Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling in 2007.
When Alison is not working, she enjoys spending time with her German shepherd dogs and reading.
